To pay the required fee within two weeks of the invoice date or by 27th May 2022 at the latest. Late payments received without prior agreement after this date will incur a 5% surcharge.

Closing date for bookings is 27th May 2022. Late applicants should contact Sightlines Initiative directly to enquire of places.

Your application will be processed when we receive your booking.  An invoice will be generated at the time of booking and emailed to you with your confirmation (if you do not receive this, please contact us).

Cancellation/Refunds

If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, and you have a colleague who wants to attend in your place, we may be able to transfer your booking to them.

The Participation Fee

Written cancellations up to 14 days prior to the beginning of the programme (i.e. up to and including Friday 27th May 2022) are eligible for 85% refund of the participation fee.

Cancellations notified after 27th May are not eligible for refund of participation fee, except In the event that a participant is found to be positive for the Covid-19 virus and has been documented, or in the event that a participant’s cohabiting family member is found to be in quarantine up to the same day as the start of the professional development programme. In this case the participant has the right to withdraw from the professional development programme and be reimbursed the entire participation fee paid or, alternatively, to choose an alternative date proposed by the organisers. However, the participant will have to cover travel, board and accommodation costs at their own expense, possibly with an appropriate travel cancellation insurance policy. A participant who tests positive for Covid-19 after the start of the professional development activity will not be entitled to any refund of professional development fees already paid. The participant will also be responsible for any additional travel, board, accommodation and hospital costs.

Accommodation/Transfer Refunds

Accommodation cancellation policies may vary with the different hotels/hostels. We will inform participants of individual conditions at their point of booking. Transfer refunds: If you cancel in accordance with our terms, we will be able to refund any paid transfer costs.

We are not responsible for costs incurred relating to independently-booked travel, or independently-booked accommodation. We recommend all participants have an appropriate travel cancellation insurance policy in place.

Force Majeure situations

Our host partner Reggio Children reserves the right to modify the programme due to organisational needs or exceptional circumstances. Changes may be made to dates, times, activities of the day, programme, trainers. This type of organisational changes does not entitle the participant to any reimbursement.
The professional development activity may be cancelled if the health situation in Italy, or in the foreign country of origin of the participant(s), requires it due to government measures or regional provisions. In this event we will promptly inform all participants of such a possibility, proposing an alternative date to be agreed upon with the participant(s) within one year of the date initially arranged.
Neither Sightlines Initiative or Reggio Children are responsible for further costs deriving from any changes or cancellations of the programme in the above-mentioned cases or from any quarantines that oblige participants to extend their stay in situ. Therefore, the participant shall bear the burden and the cost of taking out an appropriate travel insurance policy in the event of cancellation and/or modification of the travel, board and accommodation.
