General
Ticking the box, to agree to our terms and conditions, is not an interest in attending, it's a commitment to pay and to attend. If you change your mind, the fee is still due.
By clicking the Submit Booking button you agree to our booking terms and conditions, namely:
To pay the required fee within two weeks of the invoice date or by two weeks prior to the event at the latest. Late payments received without prior agreement after this date will incur a 5% surcharge.
Your application will be processed when we receive your booking. An invoice will be generated at the time of booking and emailed to you with your confirmation (if you do not receive this, please contact us).
Cancellation/Refunds
If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, and you have a colleague who wants to attend in your place, we may be able to transfer your booking to them.
The Participation Fee
Written cancellations up to 14 days prior to the beginning of the programme are eligible for 85% refund of the participation fee.
Cancellations notified within two weeks of the event are not eligible for refund of participation fee.
Accommodation/Transfer Refunds
Accommodation cancellation policies may vary with the different hotels/hostels. We will inform participants of individual conditions at their point of booking. Airport Transfer refunds: If you cancel in accordance with our terms, we will be able to refund any paid transfer costs.
We are not responsible for costs incurred relating to independently-booked travel, or independently-booked accommodation. We recommend all participants have an appropriate travel cancellation insurance policy in place.
Force Majeure situations
Our host partner Reggio Children reserves the right to modify the programme due to organisational needs or exceptional circumstances. Changes may be made to dates, times, activities of the day, programme, trainers. This type of organisational changes does not entitle the participant to any reimbursement.
The professional development activity may be cancelled if the health situation in Italy, or in the foreign country of origin of the participant(s), requires it due to government measures or regional provisions. In this event we will promptly inform all participants of such a possibility, proposing an alternative date to be agreed upon with the participant(s) within one year of the date initially arranged.
Neither Sightlines Initiative or Reggio Children are responsible for further costs deriving from any changes or cancellations of the programme in the above-mentioned cases or from any quarantines that oblige participants to extend their stay in situ. Therefore, the participant shall bear the burden and the cost of taking out an appropriate travel insurance policy in the event of cancellation and/or modification of the travel, board and accommodation.
Insurance
You you/your group members must have:
- an insurance policy for accidents of any type in which they may occur during the Initiative. Reggio Children will provide for the participants an insurance for damages caused to people or things inside the municipal institutions;
- an insurance policy covering medical/hospital and/or hospitalisation expenses, as well as travel, board and accommodation for any additional day spent in Italy, in the event of any general health problems and/or any health emergencies that may arise in situ.
Visits to Preschools/InfantToddler Centres
In-person visits to the Infant Toddler Centres and Preschools of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia will decided by the Preschools and Infant-toddler centres – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. These will be negotiated by Reggio children with the City in preparation of the programme.
Photography & Recording
For privacy issues, participants are not allowed to photograph and video inside the infant-toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia. It is also required not to take photos or videos of the presentations as well as of the panels and videos inside the Exhibition area and the Atelier at the International Centre Loris Malaguzzi.
