Flour Four Exhibition

An early years’ woodland project  (1998 - 2000) developed through a partnership between The Rising Sun Countryside Centre (North Tyneside Community Services Function), Sightlines Initiative, Redesdale First School and Tyneside Health Action Zone.  This project was a first in-depth exploration of developing reflective pedagogy in conjunction with a focus on immersion in learning in nature, and was a particular focus of our Creative Thinking in Action work.

The Floor Four project offered selected Pre School and Parent-Toddler groups  weekly sessions in the Exploratorium space, supported by creative-enablers. The emerging interests were developed back in the ‘home setting’ through follow-up sessions with the project team.
The resultant Floor Four Exhibition makes visible the learning of the adults, and  the key interests of the children as they explored their fascinations in the workshop space of the Museum’s Fourth Floor.
The exhibit is available for hire.
